Journalist and TV Presenter Piers Morgan has savagely attacked Ewan McGregor after the actor refused to appear with him on Good Morning Britain following Morgan’s disparaging remarks on the recent Women’s March.

McGregor was due to appear on Good Morning Britain but once he learned that Morgan was a presenter on the show, left.  He cited Morgan’s comments about the Woman’s March which he described as “vacuous” and attracted “rabid feminists.”

“Paedophile Loving Hypocrite”

Morgan, who is also editor at large of the US Mail Online, put in a savage attack against the actor for leaving stating he was a “paedophile – loving hypocrite.”  He used the Mail Online as a platform to launch the attack against the actor.

In the piece, he said he would have asked McGregor about Roman Polanski who he worked with on the Ghost Writer.  Roman Polanski admitted having sex with a 13 year old girl in America in 1977 but then fled the country before he could be sentenced.  He now lives in France, Switzerland, and Poland.  All three countries have refused to extradite him.

In 2010 McGregor praised Polanski’s directing skills on Good Morning America but did speak of his personal issues.

By all accounts, McGregor decided to pull out of Good Morning Britain at the last minute, after learning that Piers Morgan was hosting the show.  He was due to attend to promote his film Trainspotting 2.

McGregor tweeted, “Was going on Good Morning Britain, didn’t realise Piers Morgan was host. Won’t go on with him after his comments about #WomensMarch”

Morgan said that McGregor did the wrong thing and that he should have been interviewed and debated the issue.  He went on to say that he and his co-host Susanna Reid had no intention of talking to him about the Women’s March.

The  Women’s March took place on Saturday in sixty countries around the world in protest of comments made by Donald Trump.
