Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes playmaker Paul Pogba could miss a couple of weeks as a result of a hamstring injury.

Pogba sustained an injury off in the first half of Manchester United comfortable win 3-0 win over Basel as they marked their return to the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Mourinho revealed that he still isn’t sure of the extent of the injury that the French man sustained and stated that he suspects that he could be out of the game longer than expected.

“I know based on experience that it is most likely a muscle injury,” he said.

“Based on my knowledge, this kind of injuries keeps you away from the game for a couple of weeks.”

Pogba Impressive All Season

Pogba has been very impressive this season for Manchester United as he has scored two goals and made two assists in the first four games of the English Premier League season with Manchester United sitting on the top of the table.

It is very likely that he would miss Manchester United’s game against Everton and also miss clashes against Burton Albion, CSKA Moscow, Southampton and Crystal Palace.

Manchester United currently have a long list of injured players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rojo whose return could boost the team’s chances of winning g the league after a 3-year hiatus.
