SSU Represents St. Patrick's Day in Naples, Florida

On March 23, 2012

Above, more than 250 alumni, friends and students represented Salem State University in this year's annual St. Patrick's

Day parade in Naples, Fla., over spring break, making it the largest turnout ever. Salem State's contingent was also

joined this year by university President Dr. Patricia Maguire Meservey and the school's baseball and softball teams. Float

construction was led by Salem State alumna Joanne Riccardiello (shown lower left with green lei and shamrock on right

cheek) and her husband, Phil, both of Gloucester, Mass., and Naples, Fla. Under their guidance, alumni and friends built

the eye-catching float above, topped with Lucky the Leprechaun.
