Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero was involved in a car crash in the De Boelean area of Amsterdam following Manchester City’s 2-0 victory, when they played against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night in their match day 2 Champions league fixture.

The Argentine Striker was on his way to the airport in a taxi returning from singer, Maluma’s concert in Amsterdam, when the taxi crashed into a lamp post on the side of the road. Reports suggest he sustained significant injuries to either his ribs or wrist and might be in doubt to feature in the premier league clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Manchester City requires Sergio Aguero to return to the club on Friday for City’s medical team to access the level of damage the crash cost the striker ahead of their premier league clash with Chelsea.

In Fine Form This Season

Sergio has so far this season been a vital lethal force in Manchester City’s attack going forward this season; the striker has netted seven times in 8 appearances for Manchester City this season. The city is currently top of the premier league and has won 2 champions of league matches and one carabao cup fixture, Sergio Aguero has been instrumental in all victories under Pep Guardiola.

After City’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, the international break comes up with Argentina facing Peru and Ecuador on 5th and 10th October respectively.

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero was named in Argentina’s squad for both games. After a poor run of games in the Internationals, Argentina is just fifth place in the South American group stage; this effectively guarantees them a spot in the 2018 World Cup playoffs.
