Power couple David and Victoria Beckham are reported to be eyeing up a £160 million super mansion in Los Angeles. The pair, who made their fortune through sports, music and fashion, are understood to have their hearts set on the 14-bedroom, 27 bathroom home.
If they do buy it, they will be the proud owners of the biggest property in LA County. It has a whopping 123 rooms and sits on 4.6 acres of grounds. The Beckham family has already put their own Bel Air home on the market, with an asking price of around £24 million. They are understood to find their current home too small and want a bigger garden for their children.
The couple, who have been married for 17 years, have put together a wish list of requirements to help them to find their dream house. And, they certainly have a long list. Victoria wants a catwalk so she can see her fashion designs brought to life before showcasing them to the wider world, whi 17-year-old Brooklyn is looking for a separate area for himself and his friends, and dance enthusiast Harper wants her own studio. Eleven year old Cruz, who has just released his first single, has also been promised his own recording space.
The property, which is a staggering 56,000 sq ft, definitely has even room or all of that, along with a swimming pool and a tennis court, a gym, bowling alley, and spacet to park 100 cars.
According to a source, the Beckhams are not worried about keeping up with the Jones’, but they do want the sort of grandeur offered by this house to entertain the world’s elite. The mansion went on the market seven years ago at a price of £120 million, making it the most expensive listing in America at that time. It was then bought by Petra Stunt, daughter of Formula One mogul Bernie Ecclestone, who purchased it for £67 million.
