Annual Raspberry Swirl Blurs Barriers at Salem State for Ninth Year

For the ninth year in a row, Salem State's Alliance hosted its famous and perhaps infamous Raspberry Swirl on Thursday, April 15. The theme this year was The Drag Bowl- Binders vs Brassiers. The theme of the Drag Bowl continued onto the crowd, who wore referee shirts, and to the fact that there were pom-poms hanging up, and that Veterans Hall was marked off like a football field, which would aid later on in the games played that night. Angel Rodriguez Elected as Student Trustee

Angel Rodriguez is the new Student Trustee, being elected by an overwhelming majority. Rodriguez is currently a sophomore, majoring in criminal justice and was the Judicial Affairs Chair this year. As a Student Trustee, Rodriguez said that he is, the voice of the students and said his campaign was based on promising to open up communication between students and administrators. Full story

Groups and Clubs Fair Kicked Off This Month

The spring Groups and Clubs Fair kicked off April 5 and filled up the ground floor of the Commons dinning hall with tables, posters and even a demonstration from the Chemistry Club. It is a bi-yearly event that spreads the word about the clubs and groups around Salem State College, giving the opportunity for students to get a jump start for next year.
