Original Star Wars Movies Could be Extinct to Future Fans of Series

Over the summer, I worked a day camp at my karate school titled "Jedi Knight Camp." The main idea of the camp was for the kids to watch all of the "Star Wars" movies, play with toy lightsabers, and play "Star Wars" based games. It came to my attention that as the kids were running around having lightsaber battles, the characters the kids were pretending to be were not the characters that my generation pretended to be when we had lightsaber battles. 1 comment

One Snapshot Account of the Shelter-in-Place Drill

The January 25 "Shelter-in Place" procedures for the dining hall located in the Harrington Building on South Campus made sitting ducks of the more than 20 students seated there. Prior to the beginning of the drill, many of these students received notifications on their cell phones.

“Little Rock Nine” Member Ernest G. Green Praises King’s Legacy

Ernest G. Green, best known as a member of the 1957 "Little Rock Nine," praised Martin Luther King Jr.'s work during the annual campus convocation held Jan. 30 in honor of Reverend King. Green, the convocation's keynote speaker, examined the civil rights progress that the United States has made since King died in 1968.

Visitors to Wikipedia were treated to a strange sight on Jan. 18. The whole website was replaced with a single image: the Wikipedia logo and a simple sentence reading "Imagine a world without free knowledge." This was not the work of a savvy group of hackers, however.
