President Donald Trump didn’t keep down amid a meeting on Monday when he called for three Time magazine journalists to the White House for publication’s next cover story about him.
Trump attacked several national reporters for important news networks. He also separated his media habits, clarifying that he stopped watching CNN.
“It’s actually not doing nearly as well as others,” Trump commented on the CNN.
“It’s ridiculous,” Trump said about MSNBC.
According to the reporters who were invited to Trumps’ dinner, they said that the president is shocked by the powerful “journalistic criticism” about his leadership and by the extreme inspection that seems to be rising with time.
“I’ve been able to do something that I never thought I had the ability to do,” Trump remarked. “I’ve been able not to watch or read things that aren’t pleasant, and it keeps you young.”
Yet, Time reported continued to say that Trump still has numerous large flat screen televisions in the Treaty Room of the White House as well as in his private lounge area. So, Trump is aware of what’s being said about him in the media. The president also get many magazines and daily papers sent to his office every day.
Trump is known to reading articles, marking them up and telling his staff to address any issues he sees as trouble.
“Washington Post, New York Times, they’re really, really dishonest,” he said. “You people are quite dishonest, in all fairness,” Trump directed his words to Time reporters.
Trump is supporting Fox News and insulting many others channels, programs and reporters.
“CNN in the morning, Chris Cuomo, he’s sitting there like a chained lunatic. He’s like a boiler ready to explode, the level of hatred. And the entire… the entire CNN platform is that way,” Trump noted on CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
“This Don Lemon, who’s perhaps the dumbest person in broadcasting, Don Lemon at night it’s like — sometimes they’ll have a guest who by mistake will say something good. And they’ll start screaming, ‘We’re going to commercial!’ They cut him off. Remember?” Trump criticized CNN’s Don Lemon.
As for Stephen Colbert, Trump was aggressive when he said: “You see a no-talent guy like Colbert. There’s nothing funny about what he says, and what he says is filthy… and you have kids watching. And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him. The guy was dying. By the way, they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better. But his show was dying. I’ve done his show… But when I did his show — which, by the way, was very highly rated — it was high highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had.”
As a comment on all these tweets full of criticism, a representative from CNN stated: “His comments are beneath the dignity of the office of the President.”
