Alphabet’s Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) recently unveiled a brand new feature for Inbox, and it comes as a sigh of relief for all those who have a lot of mail to deal with on a daily basis. The feature, Smart Reply, was announced this week, and is available for desktop users.

Smart Reply will give users the ability to select from three responses, which means they will not have to type the same email over and over again. This, in turn, will give users the ability to respond faster, which was not possible before for desktop users.

The feature is rather simple, all a user needs to do is to select an appropriate message and select reply. Smart Reply offers suggestions based on the emails received and what was being discussed.

The feature was first integrated into Inbox a year ago, and was only available for tablets and mobile phones. The tech giant revealed that its usage had grown over time. In fact, 10% of Inbox users are already taking advantage of this new feature, which should explain why the company took such a step.

That being said, desktop users also now have gained the ability to deal with their email queues without breaking a sweat. However, nothing can be said for certain about the feature’s success or whether or not its usage will grow. But one thing is for certain: it will get a lot of attention considering how easier it makes to reply to a considerable amount of email.
