Ubisoft Entertainment SA’s (OTCMKTS:UBSFY) The Division is just a month away from its March release and we already have news about its first downloadable-content. While we don’t know any details of what it will be, it is now confirmed to arrive first for Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One.

A recent preview event of The Division held by Microsoft saw some Gamestop employees get their hands on the upcoming MMO. You can check out the video here.

Talking about their impressions of the game, one of Gamestop employees has confirmed that “content on Xbox One will be delivered thirty days before Sony will see”. That gives a month long edge to Microsoft’s console. If The Division takes off perfectly, then eager fans will find themselves biting their nails waiting for the next drop of content.

So far, it has not been confirmed whether all future downloadable-content will see the same treatment on Xbox One or just the first one. Given how The Division has a marketing deal in place for Microsoft’s console, it must include all of them.

The new open beta that is intended to run from February 19 to February 21 has a 24-hour head-start on Xbox One. The beta is currently live for Xbox gamers, while it will be available on Sony Corp,’s (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 4 and PC tomorrow.

If you see yourself as someone who is likely to spend a lot of time in the game, the Xbox One version may serve you well with its Xbox-first release approach for future content.
