Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNE) and Naughty Dog have been working together to build up a good hype for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The game’s recent stress test beta received its fair share of praise, once all of the reported connection problems were resolved. Now, the developer has followed up by revealing new details about the game.

In a recent livestream podcast, Programmer Edward Pereira and Game Designer Vinit Agarwal talked about the stress test beta, mentioning a few details about what players should expect from the game’s full release. According to the duo, the studio considered the possibility of limiting certain classes to different characters in the game but added that the idea was eventually scrapped. They also said that the story of Nathan Drake and Elena does not include any children so far at any point during Uncharted 4.

Additionally, all unlocking of multiplayer items comes from playing the multiplayer mode only and the developer has not finalized which of the items are going to be unlocked via the single player mode. They said that a lot has changed with the game’s development, and the latest build includes a lot of new changes compared to the stress test.

When asked about the actual depth of the content that is on offer, the duo said that the content that was released in the stress test build represents “roughly 20%” of the content from the final build of the game and there is a lot more to expect from the final game.

Well there you have it. We think that the game is going to be amazing when it releases in May. Considering the overall quality and playability of the stress test that was released over the weekend, the game is certainly going to be one of the biggest releases of the year. What interests us now is the actual single player gameplay and the story since this has not been shown in detail as of right now. But, as always, we are going to wait and see how the final products turns out.
